The Al-Karkari Institute for Sufi Studies is pleased to announce the launch of its interdisciplinary journal, Nūr, dedicated to fostering rigorous academic engagement with Islamic spirituality and mysticism, broadly considered. This journal will serve as an open-access platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners from diverse backgrounds to explore and contribute to the rich field of Sufi studies. We aim to publish high-quality research that adheres to academic standards while remaining accessible to a wide audience, including both academics and informed readers. Our journal aims to be an inclusive platform that embraces diverse perspectives and fosters scholarly dialogue on Sufism. We are committed to broadening the discourse on Islamic mysticism by welcoming contributions from both scholars and practitioners. Operating on a continuous publishing model, we will ensure timely release of accepted articles, with an annual issue compiling the year's contributions. Furthermore, we plan to host an annual conference to showcase and discuss the published works.
